FRA - Fire Risk Assessments.
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 applies to all premises (except domestic) and requires the employer (the responsible person) to carry out a fire risk assessment, provide an emergency plan and appropriate staff training. Fire Certificates issued under the Fire Precautions Act 1971 will no longer be valid and are automatically cancelled under this new legislation. The responsibility for making sure a fire will not put lives at risk will rest with the 'responsible person'.
